Rolloff Dumpster Rental Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement Coverage
This agreement outlines the terms for renting a roll-off dumpster from Wilmington Trash Authority, LLC (“we” or “us”). The customer (“you”) agrees to comply with these terms upon service use.
2. Acceptable and Prohibited Waste
- Acceptable Waste: General waste, construction debris (within weight limits), and non-hazardous materials.
- Prohibited Waste: The following items are strictly prohibited in our dumpsters:
- Hazardous waste (chemicals, asbestos, batteries, paints, oils, solvents, lead, mercury-containing devices)
- Flammable or explosive materials
- Medical waste, radioactive material
- Electronic waste (e-waste), tires, railroad ties
- Refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, or any device containing Freon
- Yard waste must be disposed of separately
- Violations & Penalties: Disposal sites may impose additional fines for prohibited items. Customers are responsible for any penalties incurred due to improper disposal.
3. Rental Period & Fees
- The standard rental period is 14 days.
- If the dumpster is not removed by the 14th day, a rental fee of $20 per additional day will apply.
- Customers must schedule removal before or on the final rental day to avoid extra fees.
- Overloaded containers (exceeding the top rail or maximum load line) may incur additional charges or refusal of pickup.
4. Delivery & Placement
- Delivery Location: We will deliver to the location specified by the customer, provided it is safe and legal.
- Access Responsibility: Customers must provide clear access to the dumpster for both delivery and pickup.
- Property Damage: We are not responsible for damage to driveways, lawns, or any other property during delivery or removal.
- Customers must obtain necessary permits if required by local municipalities for dumpster placement.
5. Payment Terms
- Prepayment Required: Payment must be made prior to delivery via credit card.
- Overdue Payments:
- If an account remains unpaid for 60 days, a credit card may be required for continued service.
- Accounts unpaid beyond 90 days will be referred to a collections agency, with notification to the customer. Additional collection fees may apply.
- Customers are responsible for all applicable fees, including:
- Rental fees
- Overweight fees
- Extended rental fees
- Fees for prohibited items
- Fees for inaccessible pickup
- Credit Card and HCH Fee
- Trash Authority charges 3.5% for credit cards and 1.5% for ACH.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Proper Loading: Load the dumpster evenly and do not overfill it.
- Material Separation: Yard waste must be kept separate from other waste types.
- Permit Compliance: If local permits are required, the customer is responsible for obtaining them.
- Dumpster Care: Customers must prevent damage to the dumpster while on their property.
7. Our Responsibilities & Limitations
- We are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, unforeseen events, or regulatory issues.
- We reserve the right to refuse service if safety concerns arise or if these terms are violated.
8. Liability & Termination
- Customer Liability: You assume responsibility for any damage, injuries, or legal issues arising from improper use of the dumpster.
- Agreement Termination:
- We may terminate service and retrieve the dumpster at any time if these terms are violated.
- Any outstanding balances must be paid in full before service termination.
9. Updates to Terms
- We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
